The Committee of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) is set to revoke the membership of the state-controlled Belarusian Union of Journalists (BUJ)..
#Belarus 🇧🇾: Yesterday our Administrative Committee has recommended the suspension of trade union PaBUJ from our membership. Journalists deserve #TradeUnions' fullest support in these critical times. Free jailed journalists! #PressFreedom

“Journalists deserve the fullest support in these critical times. Free jailed journalists!” the IFJ said on Twitter.
IFJ is the world’s largest organisation of media professionals. There, Belarus is represented by the pro-government BUJ headed by propagandist and Alyaksandr Lukashenka‘s adherer Andrey Kryvasheyeu. BUJ representatives publicly support and justify the cases of persecution of non-state media, including Belsat TV.
