Reputed Belarusian artist Uladzimir Tsesler’s first solo exhibition opens in Warsaw

On October 28, the Warsaw-based Duży Pokój art space started hosting the first solo exhibition of Uladzimir Tsesler, a prominent Belarusian designer and artistwho had to flee Belarus amid the 2020 post-election protests.
Everyone who would like to stands a chance to attend the show until December 23 (Warecka Street 4/6).
In his latestworks, Tsesler has been responding to the socio-political situation and the current crisis in Belarus. The characters depicted are both policemen and protesters, as well as the symbols and codes of the two sides of the Belarusian revolution.
In fear of being prosecuted, Uladzimir Tsesler left Belarus in August 2020. Over the recent months, he has been living in Cyprus. Tsesler is also a member of the opposition Coordination Council established by Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
